Clinician Position

We provide therapy to individual women of color struggling with anxiety, depression and adjustments using CBT, DBT and narrative based trauma informed practices.

We are seeking a compassionate, culturally competent, and experienced clinician to join Roots Unraveled. This position is specific for clinicians interested in Fee-for-Service/ Part-Time work. Pre-License Clinicians (MSW, LCSW, LMHC Track) are strongly encouraged to apply. 

As a mental health therapist, you will provide high-quality therapeutic services to clients, offering support and guidance in a flexible and client-centered manner. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who values autonomy and is skilled in providing therapy in a virtual setting.

Clinicians are responsible to maintain the required caseload with focus on high-quality and evidence-based clinical practice, complete all required client data collection, participate in supervision and maintain ongoing professional development.

• Client Therapy: Conduct individual therapy sessions via secure video conferencing platforms. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain a minimum of 10 sessions per week. Perform comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health conditions and develop appropriate treatment strategies.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information in compliance.

• Confidentiality: Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines in all aspects of your work.

• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development and training.

• Maintain a minimum caseload of 10 clinical hours/client visits per week (part time) 

• Provide psychotherapy with clients ages 21+ 

• Complete clinical assessments, treatment plans and progress notes up to clinical standards. 

• Complete clinical sessions through evidence based and culturally competent practices.

• Complete collateral and case management as needed.

• Attends weekly/monthly supervision and staff meetings as scheduled.

• Able to work remotely and independently.

• Maintains professional standing.

Qualifications:

• Education: A Master’s in counseling or social work; Clinical experience required.

• Licensure: Valid state licensure (LCSW, LMHC) with good standing. Must be licensed to practice in Massachusetts. 

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience providing therapy to diverse populations. Experience in a remote therapy setting is preferred but not required. Able to work remotely and independently.

• Skills: Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to practice in an evidence based and culturally competent therapeutic style.

• Technology: Reliable internet connection and a private, secure space to conduct therapy sessions. Familiarity with telehealth technology and tools.

• Ethics: Must be willing to uphold the mission of the practice as well as National Association of Black Social Workers and National Association of Social Workers code of ethics, as well as any additional licensing ethics board.

Language Skills:

• Clinicians must have the ability to write clinically relevant client records, reports, and professional business correspondence. Ability to maintain professional and appropriate conversations.  

• Clinicians with bilingual fluency are strongly encouraged to apply!

• Flexible part-time hours with at least one evening availability to accommodate clients schedules. Weekend availability preferred but not required.

• Fee-for-service model. Payment is made per session provided.  $30 - $50 per session.

Please note this is a fully remote position. You are required to have a private workspace, secure computer/laptop with a working camera, and a secure internet connection to complete virtual appointments, client phone calls, clinical documentation, and work related meetings.
